Why Test?

Exercise testing is for everyone! The best way to identify your physiological profile - a key ingredient to maximizing your training time and fine-tune your nutritional requirements - this process should be accurate, repeatable, and customized to each athlete's objectives. Want the best? Then test!

Gx & Lactate Testing Protocols

Blood lactate testing protocols provide insight into how an athlete manages emissions produced by the working muscles during exercise. Similar to the gas exchange exercise test, blood lactate protocols allow us to identify key metabolic thresholds to establish training zones, make appropriate training/exercise recommendations, and track adaptations throughout a season of training.

InBody Body Composition

Endurance PTC is proud to offer InBody technology for measuring body composition. Measuring weight alone can be misleading and does not portray adaptations due to prescribed exercise and nutrition regimens. InBody is the gold standard for bioelectrical impedance analysis.

FATmax Testing

The results of this test diagnose metabolic efficiency and dictate the exercise intensity required to optimize fat burning and improve metabolic efficiency.

Fueling & Nutrition: optimizing performance and health by replacing what you spend.

It’s clear that a “good” nutrition regimen is key for optimal health and performance. Just to name a few, nutrition contributes to an athlete’s energy requirements, vitamin and mineral requirements, hydration needs, affects body composition, and influences immune function.  So, pending the athlete’s training regimen in terms of intensity and duration of sessions, and their metabolic function, “good” nutrition can be portrayed in different ways.

The Interplay of VO2max, FTP & VLamax

Blood lactate testing protocols provide insight into how an athlete manages emissions produced by the working muscles during exercise. Similar to the gas exchange exercise test, blood lactate protocols allow us to identify key metabolic thresholds to establish training zones, make appropriate training/exercise recommendations, and track adaptations throughout a season of training.

Clarifying Gas Exchange Testing, Blood Lactate Testing and the use of INSCYD analytics.

At Endurance, we employ our experience using INSCYD software to extract more insight from blood lactate sampling. In the lab we combine blood lactate sampling with Gx measurements to obtain a complete metabolic profile of an athlete. For blood lactate testing in the field our diagnostics allow us to capture variables such as maximal fat burning, maximal lactate production (VLamax) and anaerobic threshold without the need for Gx.

Aerobic & Glycolytic Power (VLamax)

The maximum aerobic power is commonly measured as VO2max – the maximum oxygen uptake capacity. Why is VO2max important? For each milliliter of oxygen processed in the aerobic metabolism, energy is produced.
